school graduate She married Robert Crowley in the Jackson Heights section of Queens on July 5 1942 He died in 1990 Primarily a homemaker Mrs Crowley also worked as a book Susan Wilchek an accounting clerk and lifelong Yonkers resi dent died riday June 6 1997 at St Riverside Hospital She was 74 Mrs Wilchek did cost ac counting for Otis Elevator Corp in Yonkers from 1957 to 1972 She then worked as an ac counting clerk at Nestles Inc in White Plains for 13 years She retired in 1985 She was born eb 13 1923 in the former Czechoslovakia to Dimitri and Anna Yaroschak At age 5 she settled with her in Croton on Hudson for more than 20 years died riday June 6 1997 of mucinous adenocarcinoma of the appendix a rare form of cancer at her home in the village She was 45 Mrs Tykol graduated from Croton Harmon High School in 1970 and received a degree in journalism from Mercy College in Dobbs erry She went to work for The Croton Cortlandt News in 1974 She worked as a reporter and editor for the weekly paper now called The Gazette most of her career She worked for Water ways a Croton based newspaper devoted to environmental issues from 1991 to 1992 Mrs Tykol won two awards from the New York Press Asso ciation in 1987 one citing gov ernment coverage and the other for best local newspaper She was born May 25 1952 in Middletown Conn to Richard keeper Before moving to Chappaqua in 1961 she lived in the Elm hurst section of Queens She was close to her nephew and his wife Thomas and Lynda Crowley of Goldens Bridge She is survived by two sisters Jean Knothe of Wilmington Del and Nancy Liposki Kiel bus in Yonkers where she grew up and attended school She married George Krivak on eb 11 1933 at St Church in Yonkers He died in 1972 Mrs Krivak was a homemaker with a generous nature said her son George A Krivak of York town When she lived in Yonkers she would buy food for neighbors who were in difficult straits he said was a very sensitive car ing woman and very giving of Adele Tangredi a retired registered nurse died Thursday June 5 1997 at Lawrence Hospi tal in Bronxville She was 73 and had lived in Yonkers for 27 years Mrs Tangredi worked at Law rence Hospital from 1981 until 1991 when she retired Earlier she had worked at Cross County Hospital in Yonkers from 1967 to 1972 and in the delivery room of Mount Vernon Hospital from 1944 to 1967 She also did some private duty nursing from 1972 to 1981 She was born May 14 1924 in Virginia to Benjamin and Marie Agosti Osti She graduated from Catholic University in Washing ton DC with a de ot Repos HOME Sunday Service
