Bulletproof Superfood Coffee Creamer Recipe (2024)

If you caught my old coffee recipe, you know I'm relatively new to the coffee grind. But, y'all, I think I've made it to the big leagues. Big time.

Over the last 8 months, my morning cup evolved from those simple 4 ingredients to a wild concoction of bulletproof superfoods. And that meant grabbing all those powders and goods out of the cabinet and fridge, carefully spooning them all in, pulling out the blender and whirring it all up.So a simple cup of coffee turned into 9 minutes of utter chaos. Followed by a few more minutes of clean up. #firstworldproblems, I know, but at 4:37 am, those 9 minutes feel like 90.

But y'all, I've figured it out. I found a simple way to make this all easier and I swear my life is forever changed because of this discovery. One word: creamer.

Instead of painstakingly concocting a wild potion every morning, I simply do it once. This bottle of Bulletproof Superfood Coffee Creamer contains 32 ounces of all the nutrient-dense, hormone-balacing, blood-sugar-leveling fat I was adding in, but now instead I just add the coffee.

So before we talk how, let's talk why. Y'all know I'm purposeful in every food choice I make, and if you're going to drink something every.single.morning you better be sure you know why.

Let's start with the fats, because this is, after all, is a #fattyfrothycoffee recipe:Coconut milk has always been and will always be my favorite of all non-dairy milks. It's thick and creamy and loaded with nutrients. The main fat source comes from lauric acid which is known to improve blood pressure, lower cholesterol (yes, healthy saturated fats can do that), and fight pathogen infection and yeast overgrowth!MCT oil is the bulletproof key. Made entirely of medium-chain triglycerides, the main component of that powerful lauric acid, it's essentially refined coconut oil for more concentrated health benefits. It's been proven to aid in digestion, energy metabolism, and brain function. And the third fat source, ghee,is clarified butter, which means it's had most of the inflammatory parts of dairy removed. It's been used for over 4000 years and has long been an important piece of ancient Ayurvedic medicine. It's packed with vitamins like A, D, E and K2 and most importantly, it makes a cup of coffee flipping delicious. All these fats together offer some serious blood-sugar-stabilizing strength. Y'all have heard me preach about the magic healing power of healthy fats a thousand times, but especially in the morning a healthy dose of fat can do wonders. By offering your body a slowww source of fuel when you first wake up, you establish a stable blood sugar pattern and promote fat burning within your system.

Macais a superfood of superfoods that helps with maybe the most important function of our bodies- our hormone production. As both a cruciferous vegetable and adaptogenic herb, it helps promote healthy and balanced hormone production of estrogen and testosterone. It improves energy and fertility in both men and women and is especially helpful for women who struggle with any form of hormone imbalance (PMS symptoms, PCOS, menopause, infertility). I like adding this amazing powerhouse to my coffee because it's a simple way to take it consistently every morning.

And y'all know my love forcollagen protein powderruns deep. As the basic component of protein, collagen is vital for tissue production so taking peptides helps promote healthy hair, skin, nails and most importantly gut(the last of which why it's one of the 7 foods I eat every day).Cinnamonnot only adds an unsweetened sweetness but it helps all the pretty little fat sources in balancing blood sugar levels and stabilizing insulin production (the ultimate culprit in fat storage!).The himalayan pink salt simplyhelps bring out the natural sweetness of the coconut while giving a healthy dose of 84 naturally occurring trace elements.I typically choose not to sweeten mine because I find it has plenty of flavor on its own, but if you are needing a little more sweetness, manuka honey is a great option- it's a rich source of zinc, potassium, manganese, calcium, all the B vitamins, and a great range of amino acids. Plus its high level of enzymes helps create a natural antibacterial effect and strengthens immune system response. If you're going to add sugar, that's pretty much as good as it can get.

PS – it's super super important if you're drinking coffee to go with organic. I don't buy organic everything, but I make sure my coffee is one of the products I put the extra investment in. Conventional coffee beans are high on the list of the most sprayed products, which means you're straight up just drinking pesticides and chemicals. If you're a Keurig user like me, I've found two options I really like: decaf organic K-cups + regular caffeinated organic K-cups

If I take 10 minutes to prepare the creamer on the weekends, all I have to do when I wake up during those weekday mornings: pop a kcup in the Keurig, grab the creamer from the fridge, pour a little (or let's be honest, a lot) in, and use this MAGIC milk frother from Amazon to froth it up. No crazy measuring spoons or superfood jars and especially no ear-curdling blender.

It's brilliant, I know. My groggy pre-dawn mornings are now just as nutritious but soooo much easier.

And the best part about all of this: you know that mysterious hunky husband I always reference? The one who sweetly eats the salads I make him but would much rather chomp on a greasy burger? The one who makes me add that nasty, store-bought coffee creamer to the grocery list? Well he came to me the other morning and said “Babe, I have a confession to make.” I braced myself for something bad, and couldn't help but laugh when I heard “I've been drinking your creamer in my coffee.” VICTORY, people! Victory! I didn't even have to force him to slowly like it. His guar gum and sugar-filled creamer ran out one morning, he reached for mine, and he hasn't looked back.

All the ingredients are linked in the recipe above. Note you can use code MOLLIE for 10% off the Collagen peptides.

This recipe perfectly fills one of these milk jars from Amazon and it lasts me (and the hubs) quite a while.

I'm telling you guys, this stuff is good. And it will make you feel amazing. And it will keep you full for hours. And most important of all, it's easy as almond-crusted apple pie. The perfect way to get all the fat-blasting, energy-producing power of a bulletproof coffee.

If you want a winter edition, I made a Peppermint Mocha version and it's basically Christmas in a cup. Yummmm.
