I LOVE YOU, FUNNY BUNNY is an adorable children's book perfect for general market (not Christian) for any occasion. The verses are adorably written and the art work is beautifully done and this is sure to be a favorite for your favorite child.

A great book for Easter baskets, birthdays, Valentine's day or anytime. Also recommended for libraries and daycares.

Adorable! So adorable, in fact, that I’m going to create a Goodreads shelf called “adorable”, for a quick go-to when I want to give an adorable book as a gift. Both the text and illustrations of I Love You Funny Bunny are charming.

Also, I’m now inspired to find other books illustrated by Sean Julian!

I read this aloud to my nine-year-old sister and she laughed throughout the entire book and completely melted at the pictures (this was a little “young” for her as she’s been reading chapter books for years now, but she still loves them). I agree with her that the illustrations are simply adorable and sweet.

The text is very rhythmic, which I enjoy reading. It definitely seems like it is geared more for mom/child with just one page, where the big bunny loves “how you call my name in your own special way” (and the illustration amplifies “MOM!”). Besides that, it fits almost any adult/child relationship and is a sweet little book.

Though marketed as a Christian book, there is nothing in here that really is “Christian.” (just for those who are interested in that tidbit)

This beautifully illustrated picture book is a perfect addition for any young child’s library. Sean Julian creatively displays these adorable bunnies with soft edges, bright colors and eye catching backdrops. The sweet animals romp and play throughout the pages with other cute animals in the background. At the turn of each page, there is a sweet, rhythmic lyric for parents to read to their children that embraces the bond between a parent and child. I Love You, Funny Bunny expresses the beauty of a strong love and all the tiny, wonderful moments we often take for granted as parents.

As a parent myself, reading this book to my 9 month old daughter, I found this book to be sweet and tender. I love the way she scrunches her nose and calls my name and forget to tell her that as often as I should. I adored that I Love You, Funny Bunny encouraged unconditional love, while building self esteem in a child and thus strengthening a parent/child bond.

I believe this book is well suited for young children under the age of 8. Because the rhymes are short and sweet, and each page is a change of colors and setting, this picture book will capture even the shortest of young attention spans. The cover is a paper jacket over a hard bound, illustrated cover and the pages inside are thick sturdy paper. The book would make an excellent Easter basket addition, a thoughtful gift for a new parent or young child or as an addition to your own child’s collection.

My Review:

What a sweet book, that is perfect to show that undeniable love between a parent and a child. This sweet book was precious. I read it to my son and then he read it to me. The illustrations are so sweet, as well. This book is perfect as a gift or to add to the home library. My son just started reading and only needed help with a few of the words. Perfect book for a little snuggle-time, as well.

I Love You, Funny Bunny is a Zonderkidz book illustrated by Sean Julian that shows a mother’s unconditional love for her child. Throughout the book, the mother rabbit tells her baby bunny things that she loves about him as they embark on exciting adventures together. Parents will love reading this book to their children, since it reminds kiddos how loved and special they are.

I Love You, Funny Bunny is one of my favorite books I have ever reviewed. I just can’t stop looking at the pages! The scenes portrayed in the book are fun to look at, such as the page when Funny Bunny is trying on a magician’s hat, or the page when Funny Bunny is covered in paint after having painted a heartfelt picture for his mother. I love the small details incorporated into the book, like the red satchel that Funny Bunny wears throughout different pages, or the book that Funny Bunny’s mother reads to him, which shows a dinosaur and volcano. Each illustration is beautifully crafted, creating a window into a magical world. The scenery on the pages is majestic, and the characters themselves are illustrated in a way to convey distinct emotions and feelings. What a great book!

I Love You Funny Bunny, written by Barbara Herndon and illustrated by Sean Julian, is an adorable 32 page book for children ages 4 to 8, that tells of the special love between a parent and a child. Written in rhyme, this story follows the little bunny and his mother as they play and discover new things. With bright colorful pages, this book will grab the attention of children whether they are young readers or even younger children being read to. The pictures contain items that a young child can find and point to.
I think this is a really nice book to snuggle up with your young child and spend time reading and finding objects within the pictures. While it is published by Zonderkids, it does not have a Christian message. It does show of the love between child and parent. I would recommend this book to anyone who has young children in their home.

I Love You, Funny Bunny is such a cute children's book! The book features very beautiful illustrations as well as a great message about love and family. The illustrations are colorful and fun and the ongoing rhyme shows the love a mother has for their child and all of that child's unique qualities. The book is published by a Christian publishing company, however I would definitely recommend it to anyone with children, regardless of religious beliefs. It is a very sweet book and I loved all of the fun illustrations. This book would be great to include in an Easter basket or as a gift on many other occasions.

I Love You, Funny Bunny is the latest children's book I reviewed. Beautifully written and illustrated by talented Sean Julian. Starting out with "I love you, Funny Bunny, from your whiskers to your toes." Such heartwarming prose, this delightful children's book is one that will warm a child's heart and imagination. It can be a bond between a child and parent, or a grandparent. Fun and whimsical, I love the positive character qualities that are expressed throughout the book. We need more books like this for our children.

What an utterly delightful little book! My daughter loved the title and talks about it all of the time, I think she wants funny bunny to be her new nickname.

This book would make an adorable Easter present but really is perfect for anytime, it is such a heartwarming little book about how much a Mommy loves her little one and it is so sweet! I love how lyrical the words are, they flow so well and it is just an absolute delight to read and will have the little ones begging for more.

Too CUTE! I Love You, Funny Bunny is a sweet book that shares the love of a momma bunny has with her baby bunny. It has cute little rhymes and Sean Julian’s illustrations are bright and colorful. They tell a deeper story then that actual writing, which I love since you can go off and talk with your child about what they are seeing. Overall a really sweet book that conveys the beauty of mom and baby relationship.

Love, love, love I Love You, Funny Bunny with it's sweet rhymes and darling illustrations. It's a sweet and tender love letter from Mom to her funny bunny.

Adorable!

"I love you Funny Bunny, from your whiskers to your toes." So begins this love letter of a picture book, a rhyming explanation of the different ways Funny Bunny inspires love. Accompanied by adorable illustrations that perfectly capture the mood and the message, and somehow, through the anthropomorphized child and parent bunnies, conveys their love along with a feeling of snuggly comfort and joy.

Written in the voice of the mommy bunny (when faced with a hairy spider, Funny Bunny calls out "Mom"), this is a wonderful read-aloud choice for a boy or girl. And if illustrators are what draw you to children's books, then Sean Julian is a name to look out for. Even the end papers will have readers smiling, as Funny Bunny cavorts on patches of grass.

While published by a Christian imprint and written by "Zonderkidz" (if you search the Library of Congress information, you may spot a specific name credited with the lovely rhyming text), this is only not overtly, solely Christian with it's themes of love and family. Sweet and colorful, available as both a picture book and a boardbook, this would make a wonderful gift.

An adorable book! A mama bunny tells all the ways she loves her child. The text rhymes while the colorful and humorous illustrations show us why the child is called “Funny Bunny.” He falls in a pond, gets paint all over himself, etc., all while the mama smiles and shows him love. This is a lovely book for a mom to share with her child.
